Browsing data

When you visit the website, the server hosting it automatically logs some technical data: IP address, date and time of the request, page visited, browser and operating system.

This data is used only to run the website and protect it from abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use it to identify or profile you, and the hosting provider deletes it periodically.

Enquiries

If you email us, message us on WhatsApp or call us, we process the data you give us (name, contact details, content of the message) only to reply and, if you ask, to arrange your stay or an event.

The legal basis is your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We keep this data for as long as needed to handle it, unless legal obligations, such as tax rules, require longer retention.

WhatsApp is a service of WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta group), which processes data under its own privacy policy.

Booking and access to the motorhome area

Bookings, payments and entry to the motorhome area go through the Campergate platform, which processes data on our behalf. You will be asked for:

• the dates of your stay and the number of people;
• first name, last name, phone number and email;
• the motorhome's number plate, which is also used to open the barrier;
• the guests' details and identity documents.

We use this data to manage the booking, payment and access (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to meet legal obligations, such as reporting guests to the public security authorities (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Without it, access to the area is not possible.

Payment card details are processed directly by the payment service provider: we do not receive them.

Who can see the data

Your data is never sold or disclosed to the public. Only the following can access it:

• Riva Coghinas staff who handle it;
• the providers who help us deliver the service, appointed as data processors: Aruba S.p.A., which hosts the website, and Campergate, the booking platform;
• the authorities, when required by law.

Cookies

The website uses a single technical cookie: NEXT_LOCALE. It is stored only if you change language with the language switcher, it serves to show you the website in the language you chose, and it is deleted when you close the browser.

We do not use profiling, analytics or advertising cookies, nor any third-party tracking tools. That is why the website shows no banner: technical cookies do not require consent (Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021).

Fonts and icons are also hosted on our own server: browsing the website sends no requests to Google or other external services.

You can still delete or block cookies in your browser settings: the website will keep working, but it will not remember the language you chose.

Links to external websites

The website contains links to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Google Maps and Campergate. They are plain links: no data is sent to these services until you click them. From then on, the privacy policy of the service you visit applies.

Your rights

At any time you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its processing, receive it in a portable format or object to its processing (Articles 15–22 GDPR). Just write to info@rivacoghinas.it.

If you believe the processing breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice, for example if the services we use change. The date of the latest change is shown at the top of the page.
